Karen Lynch ESQ

Ms. Lynch is an active member of a number of community and legal organizations and is a past president and currently continuing head of public relations for the San Joaquin Chapter of Liga International (aka “The Flying Doctors of Mercy”).  Ms. Lynch is one of the few Liga volunteers who does not fly down to La Victoria but volunteers to help organize Liga and to educate the public and raise funds for the all-volunteer non-profit.  Ms. Lynch has a general civil and criminal litigation practice as a defense and plaintiff’s counsel.   Ms.

Dr. Robert Wilson

Dr. Wilson is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. He began private practice in Fresno in 1982 when he joined the long established practice of Dr. George Whitworth. In 1987, Dr. Wilson moved to his current location on Fresno Street where he has been providing excellent care to patients ever since. In the office, he personally sees every patient, every visit, every time—always.

Cheryl Weber, RN

Ms. Cheryl Weber, a Hospice RN, at Kaweah Delta Hostpial in Tulare is a past president of the San Joaquin Chapter of Liga International (aka “The Flying Doctors of Mercy”). In May of 2016, Kaweah Delta recognized Ms. Weber “Service to Society” award because of her commitment to Liga by volunteering on medical mission trips to La Victoira to treat the underserved. Cherlye Weber is also the Pharmacy Clinic Coordinator.

Maria Carizma Torrez, R.T.

Maria Carizma Torrez was born in a small city, Santa Barbara, in the State of Chiuhauha, Mexico and was raised until her early twenties in Santa Barbara, California.  In 1985, she moved to Fresno and began to work for a local Hispanic Orthopeadic Surgeon as a receptionist where her ability to be bilingual was a plus.

Peter Fortuna

Peter Fortuna is a North Fresno Rotary and Technology Services staff member at Fresno State University as an Information Technology Consultant.  He volunteers for Rotary International in District 5230 as a Public Resource Leader and a Public Relations Director.

Peter uses his vocation and project management certification to support the volunteers, patients, and pilots of Fresno Liga through technology training, IT support, and project management planning.

Dr. Charley Touton

Dr. Charles Touton is an orthopedic surgeon in Fresno, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Community Regional Medical Center and Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital. He received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 25 years.

Eloise Esmael

In approximately in 1922, Eloise Esmael started volunteering for Liga when she was invited to translate on a trip by a former co-worker and volunteer translator, Gilbert Hernandez.  After Eloise’s first trip, she was hooked but was not financially able to volunteer on trips as often as she would have liked too.

John Krikorian

John Krikorian is a real estate broker and also has a property management company, is a volunteer Liga pilot and who, with other North Fresno Rotarians, has volunteered his time to Liga by performing major maintenance work on La Victoria and helped install the water filtration system and also assisted with fundraisers.  John volunteers because he “feels blessed and wants to give back:” his faith and Church are important to him.  On a personal note.
